In 2027, alongside the strengthening of tax administration in Azerbaijan, a somewhat more flexible approach toward taxpayers is also envisaged.

According to the document, one of the main directions of tax policy next year will be simplifying the mechanism for granting deferrals on tax debts and introducing incentives.
Accordingly, one of the key priorities in the management of tax debts will be simplifying debt settlement mechanisms. At the same time, the application of more flexible approaches for taxpayers and strengthening voluntary payment discipline will also be among the key measures.
The document explains that this policy includes improving the procedures for granting deferrals on tax debts.
In addition, more favorable mechanisms will be established for taxpayers experiencing difficulties with their ability to pay but continuing their economic activities.
Furthermore, under certain conditions, the application of reliefs on financial sanctions and late-payment interest (penalties) will also be considered.
