Documents Required for Tax Benefits for Family Members of Mine-Clearance Workers Have Been Determined

Amendments have been made to the list of documents required to determine the eligibility of individuals for tax benefits when calculating tax withheld from wages, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on January 4, 2001.
In this regard, Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed the relevant decision.
Under the decision, parents, widows (widowers), and children of mine-clearance workers who died as a result of an accident caused by the detonation of explosive ordnance while carrying out mine-clearance activities, or who died from injuries sustained during such activities, will be required to submit relevant supporting documents in order to benefit from the tax exemption.
Specifically, they will be required to submit a certificate issued by the Mine Action Agency, a certificate from a local office of the State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, or a certificate issued by a “DOST” centre, as well as certificates issued by the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the State Border Service.
