A new excise tax rate has been set for Aİ-92 gasoline imported into Azerbaijan
Amendments have been made to the “Excise tax rates on excisable goods imported into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.” The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a decision in this regard.
According to the decision, excluding motor and aviation gasoline, gasoline with an octane number below 95 and a lead content not exceeding 0.013 g/l is subject to an excise rate of 200 manats per ton (from May 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027 – 1.0 manat).
Gasoline with an octane number below 95 and a lead content exceeding 0.013 g/l (excluding motor and aviation gasoline) is also subject to an excise rate of 200 manats per ton (1.0 manat during the specified period).
For other gas oils, including diesel fuel, the excise rate is set at 80 manats per ton (from May 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027 – 1.0 manat).
Additionally, upper limits have been established for imports by the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the period from May 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027: 205 thousand tons for Aİ-92 gasoline and 201 thousand tons for diesel fuel.
