As of today, the retirement age for women in Azerbaijan has been increased

The retirement age for women has been increased to 65, bringing it in line with the retirement age for men.
Under Article 7 of the Law on Labour Pensions, the retirement age for men was increased by six months each year from 1 July 2017 to 1 July 2021, while the retirement age for women was increased by six months annually from 1 July 2017 to 1 July 2027.
According to Article 7 of the law, a person who has reached retirement age is entitled to an old-age labour pension regardless of their insurance record if the pension capital accumulated in the insurance portion of their individual account is sufficient to provide a pension equal to or higher than the minimum pension. If the accumulated capital is insufficient, the person is entitled to a pension provided they have at least 25 years of insurance service (except for those who were granted an old-age labour pension before 1 July 2017).
The pension amount is determined based on the pension capital accumulated in the individual's account in accordance with insurance indicators. The minimum pension is 320 manats. An old-age labour pension is granted for life.
It should be noted that the retirement age for women was last increased on 1 July 2025 by six months to 64 years and 6 months. That threshold remained in effect until 30 June 2026.
