It is projected that the average pension amount will increase from 543 manats to 590 manats
It is projected that in 2026 the average pension amount in Azerbaijan will increase from 543 manats to 590 manats.
This was announced by Zaka Mirzayev, Chairman of the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF), at a press conference dedicated to the results of 2025. According to him, the old-age pension amount is expected to rise this year from the current 578 manats to 630 manats:
“Last year, the total number of labor pensioners in Azerbaijan was 1,098,651. During the year, 7.1 billion manats were spent on pension payments, accounting for more than 97.6% of total social payments directed to the population. In 2025, the average monthly pension increased by 9.3% compared to 2024, reaching 543 manats, while the old-age pension rose by 9.1% to 578 manats.”
In 2026, the expenditures of the SSPF are projected to amount to 8.483 billion manats, while revenues are expected to reach 8.323 billion manats. Of these expenditures, 8 billion manats will be allocated to pension payments. At the same time, a transfer of 1.7 billion manats from the state budget to the SSPF is expected this year.
