In Azerbaijan, it is a shortened working day — an 11-day holiday begins from tomorrow

Today is a short working day in Azerbaijan.
AZE Finance reports that this is reflected in Article 108 of the Labor Code.
According to the legislation, on pre-holiday days that are not considered working days, the working day is shortened by one hour regardless of the number of weekly working days.
According to the Code, employees are paid for work performed on holidays that are not considered working days.
Additionally, at the request of an employee who works on rest days, voting days, non-working holidays, or national days of mourning, another day off may be granted instead of payment.
Furthermore, if the salary payment day falls on a rest day, voting day, national day of mourning, or non-working holiday, the payment is made on the preceding day.
It should be noted that the holiday period in Azerbaijan begins tomorrow. In connection with the Novruz and Ramadan holidays, March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30 are non-working days. Including Saturday and Sunday, there will be 11 consecutive days off. March 31 is considered the first working day after the holidays.
