Amendments are being introduced to the law regarding allowances paid to diplomatic service employees.
The proposed amendments are reflected in the draft changes to the Law “On Diplomatic Service,” which was discussed today at a meeting of the Legal Policy and State Building Committee of the National Assembly.
According to the draft, if diplomatic service is terminated under Article 30.1.14 of the Law (in the event of death, or when a person is declared missing or deceased by a court decision that has entered into legal force), the employee’s heirs will receive an allowance equal to four times the employee’s average monthly state remuneration.
If diplomatic service is terminated under Article 30.1.3-1 of the Law, the diplomatic service employee will receive an allowance equal to three times the average monthly state remuneration.
Except in cases where the diplomatic service body is abolished, individuals who served in a diplomatic position before being called up for compulsory military service shall, upon applying to return to their previous position no later than 60 calendar days after discharge from military service, be appointed to their former or an equivalent position within the relevant institution.
