As of January 1, 2025, according to preliminary data, the number of employed workers in the country’s economy was 1,778.5 thousand, of which 882.8 thousand were employed in the public sector, and 895.7 thousand in the private sector.
According to the State Statistics Committee, based on preliminary data for 2024, the average monthly nominal wage of employed workers in the country's economy increased by 8.1% compared to the previous year, reaching 1009.2 manats.
The average monthly nominal wage was higher in the mining, financial and insurance, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as information and communication sectors.
