The volume of cashless transactions within the country continues to increase

As of the end of July 2025, the number of payment cards in circulation increased by 948 thousand, or 4.75 percent, compared to the beginning of the reporting year, reaching 20 million 913 thousand.
According to the Central Bank’s report, compared to the same period in 2024, the growth amounted to 14 percent. While the number of debit payment cards rose by 17 percent, the number of credit cards declined by 7 percent.
The increase in payment cards has had a positive impact on the volume of cashless payments. Thus, during the month, the volume of domestic cashless transactions grew by 20.2 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
In July 2025, the volume of domestic cashless payments made through cards amounted to 8 billion 753 million manats, of which 7 billion 629 million manats were attributed to electronic commerce. Transactions totaling 1 billion 120 million manats were carried out via POS terminals, and 5 million manats through self-service terminals and ATMs.
