As of September 1 of this year, the number of employees in the country’s economy amounted to 1,764.9 thousand people, of whom 855.3 thousand worked in the public sector and 909.6 thousand in the non-public sector.
According to the State Statistics Committee, during January–August, the average monthly nominal salary of employees in the country’s economy increased by 9.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 1,093.8 manats.
The highest average nominal monthly salaries were recorded in the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as in the transport and storage sectors.
