It is forecasted that in 2026, the average pension amount will be around 579.2 manats, which is approximately 7.9% higher than the expected 537 manats for 2025.
This figure is reflected in the draft law on the state budget for 2026. According to the draft, this amount exceeds the 2025 projection by 7.9%.
The document also highlights that, based on official data from the Ministry of Economy, with the nominal wage growth rate expected to be 9.2% in 2025, the annual financial burden associated with the indexation of labor pensions in 2026 is projected to reach about 635.59 million manats.
It is noted that if the nominal wage indicator changes, adjustments may be made to the projected expenditures for pensions and certain benefits paid from mandatory state social insurance contributions. For instance, even a 1% change in the growth rate could affect annual pension expenditures by approximately 72 million manats.
Chairman of the Labor and Social Policy Committee Musa Guliyev the average monthly labor pension in 2026 is expected to reach 590 manats, while the average age-based pension is projected to increase to 629 manats.
