The number of taxpayers in Azerbaijan has increased by 5%

As of January 1 this year, there were 1,674,984 taxpayers in Azerbaijan.
Starting next year, income tax will be collected from these individuals under new rules — APPROVED.
This was reported with reference to the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.
According to the data, this represents an increase of 4.9% compared to January 1 of last year.
Of all taxpayers, 86.8% are individuals, while 13.2% are legal entities and other organizations. Over the past year, the number of individual entrepreneurs increased by 4.6%, and the number of administrations, enterprises, and organizations rose by 6.6%.
As of the end of December last year, the number of registered commercial entities increased by 7.2% year-on-year, reaching 204,065 entities.
In 2025, 14,051 commercial entities were registered, of which 88.7% had domestic investment and 11.3% had foreign investment. 85.1% of commercial entities were registered electronically. The share of electronic registration for domestically invested limited liability companies reached 96.5%.
92% of registered commercial legal entities were established as limited liability companies, 1.1% as joint-stock companies, 1.1% as cooperatives, and the rest in other organizational and legal forms.
