Certain requirements regarding the number of employees are defined in the Labor Code. According to that article, the position of labor protection engineer is established in enterprises with more than fifty employees, and in the case of more than five hundred employees, the position of deputy head of the enterprise (chief engineer) in labor protection is established. An industrial-sanitary laboratory is organized in enterprises with more than a thousand employees, as well as the position of a doctor on labor hygiene is established.
It should be noted that the heads and specialists of the labor protection service cannot be involved in the performance of work that is not related to their duties, and they are responsible for not performing their duties correctly and qualitatively in the manner established by the legislation. It should be noted that the EMAS subsystem also sends a warning notice regarding the recruitment of employees in connection with the labor protection service to employers with more than 50 employees.
