Some customs duties in Azerbaijan will increase 100-fold
Amendments to the Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity and the Rates of Import and Export Customs Duties Will Take Effect.
According to AZE Finance, export customs duties on certain products will increase 100-fold.
Specifically, the tariff rate for waste and scrap of cast iron, as well as waste and scrap of tin-plated ferrous metals exported from Azerbaijan, has been increased from USD 7 to USD 500 per 1,000 kilograms.
The tariff rate for turnings, shavings, cuttings, milling waste, saw waste, and ingots intended for remelting (charge ingots) has been increased from USD 5 to USD 500 per 1,000 kilograms.
The decision was signed on September 22.
