What needs to be done to install a POS terminal?

How can I obtain a POS terminal for the premises where I operate in the service sector?
The State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy has stated that, in accordance with the legislation, the State Tax Service sends a notification for the installation of POS terminals to all business entities owned by the applicant for which the installation of POS terminals is mandatory. After receiving the notification, the applicant must apply to the acquiring bank for the installation of a POS terminal within 10 working days.
For the installation of a POS terminal, the following documents or information must be submitted to the acquiring bank together with the application:
1. A copy of the identity document of the taxpayer or the legal representative of the state authority (in paper form) or the relevant document details (in electronic form);
2. A copy of the certificate confirming the applicant’s registration for tax purposes (in paper form) or the certificate details (in electronic form);
3. A copy of the document confirming the tax registration of the business entity (in paper form) or the relevant document details (in electronic form);
4. A copy of the notification sent by the State Tax Service for the installation of the POS terminal, indicating the name and code of the main type of activity (in paper form) or the notification details (in electronic form).
If the POS terminal is provided by the applicant, the applicant shall submit the POS terminal to be installed to the acquiring bank, together with the above-mentioned documents, for the installation of the relevant software.
In order to submit the application for “Online registration of a POS terminal,” you may log in to the Internet Tax Portal and submit the application electronically in accordance with the user guide (including the video guide) available in the “Electronic services” section.
For information purposes, please note that the criteria for determining the premises where POS terminals must be installed are specified in the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on the approval of the “Rules for the installation, use and application of POS terminals in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan” and the “Criteria for determining the premises where POS terminals shall be installed.”
